Welcome to The Investor Diary in which I share with you my daily life in investment hoping that by reading the logs in this diary you will be able to obtain tools, ideas, mindset to help you live the joyous and exciting life of investment.
My STORY
My life in business started in 1987 when I started my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 1997, I concluded my MBA in International Business Administration. That is all theory, nothing much in there except the well-known models that they teach in any business course. Not that the education was bad, but regardless of how good it was, it was all theory.
It took me a long time, nearly at the end of my employment career in different industries, different countries and different company sizes that I was able to transform the academic models into ones that can actually be used in the business world. Nearly everybody rolled their eyes when they hear a model that was taught in universities, but I believed in them as they constructed important basis for gathering information and research.
In 2003 was my first trial at investment, or so I thought. FOREX came into my path. After many empty accounts, I realized that FOREX has nothing to do with investment especially when it comes to dealing with margins.
Then I realized that there is a difference between investment and trading. Those are two different worlds that should not be mixed up. Trading is not investing, and the tools, skills and research required for trading are totally different from those that are necessary for investing.
WHY HELP PEOPLE
Trading was very stressful and painful for me. Do not misunderstand me, I am not against trading. Trading is a great way to spend your day and earn considerable profit from. It was the way I got introduced to trading that was wrong. The mindset that I used in trading was wrong. Therefore, I was not successful in trading.
Then I got introduced into the world of investment. This world showed me a totally new perspective on how to view industries, companies and stocks. I even now look differently at trading.
Since this introduction, my days have become more exciting and relaxing. I look forward to the following day and the things that I want to do.
It is because of that reason I decided to establish The Investor Diary. The world of investment as well as trading are beautiful worlds, it is just that we need to know how to live them. This diary is dedicated to share what I do, think, read and research. I will also share my doubts, excitements, fears and any other thing that I am going through within my investing day.
You can do the same and share what you like in the comments but do not try to sell me or the other readers anything as those comments will not be approved.
THE GOAL OF THE INVESTOR DIARY
What I am aiming to do is to create an environment for investors as well as traders, whether they are new or experts a place where we can share what we are going through in our investment lives, and create an environment where we can learn to live happily the exciting world of investment.
I am also building this website to create a new income stream from which I can earn more so that I can spend, invest and trade more. The techniques that I am using are all from one particular program that teaches online business from scratch. I started looking into individual stocks in January 2022.
